Little Peugeot 207 S2000 rally car has dominated the Intercontinental Rally Challenge for the past three years and recently, their driver, Kris Meeke has won 2009 IRC. This calls for a celebration. They drank three days and three nights, partied, bla bla ….but this is the perfect occasion to have a limited edition, guys! It’s a trend! Not to mention some nice figures in the sales reports. Thus, Special Edition 207 S16 was born, which is limited to 250 examples.

The bug is based on the three-door 207 Sport 1.6 VTi, to which the S16 adds on full 207 RC Cup bodykit, side skirts, 17″ Hockenheim alloys, SP Sports mesh grille, dark tinted rear windows from the 207 GTi, a special interior badge signed by Kris Meeke and of course – vinyl rally graphics which mimic Meeke’s IRC winning 207 S2000. They had elements from the Union Jack and Peugeot’s lion placed on the side of the car but if you don’t like it, you cand have the car in pure Bianca White.

I’m waiting for the day when celebration will not mean crazily expensive limited editions (limited to 50 cars that only the very lucky will get to own) or tuning, but 1b free cars for the admirers. Watcha say, carmakers?
