Saturday morning,19 April, the Audi Q5 was officialy revealed at the China Auto Show in Beijing and it seems that Audi’s new car will be assembled in Changchun, in northern China.
The Q5 will be powered by the same engine that powers the A4 and A6 families. That means a basic 2.0liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine making 200Bhp and an optional 3.0 liter V6 engine making 233Bhp
The Q5 is due to hit dealers in Europe later this summer and sales are expected to begin in the States towards the beginning of next year.
Audi Snook isn’t really a car and it’s wheel is not … well….a wheel,is a sphere.
This concept was realised by the german designer Tilmann Schlootz. The vehicle seems to be a variant of the Seagway, copying the ideea of spherical wheels from the “I,robot” movie.
This odd car has 3 cylinders that will help the sphere to move in any direction, maintaining the car stable.
The Audi Snook won the Michelin Challenge Award 2008 at Detroit Auto Show.
What we know is that the 2009 Audi TT-RS will be the top of the line model in the lineup. For now,the TT-RS is under development at Audi’s Ingolstadt headquarters in Southern Germany. It is expected that the TT-RS to be an important rival for coupes like BMW Z4 M and Porsche Cayman S.
Audi R8 was first unveiled as a prototype at Detroit Motor Show, and recently in March at Geneva. It has a V12 6.0 litre engine and 500bhp.This means that is the fastest car the firm has ever built. But who ever thought that a car like this will have a diesel engine:Nobody.
Originally the R8 was finished in silver, but after a single outing for the cameras, red was chosen to highlight its diesel performance credentials.
