Most people think of a Porsche 911 Turbo as one of the fastest sportscar in the world but there is someone who believes that the road-runner can do better than that. Porsche staff believed him and so they will reveal 911 Turbo S at Geneva, a brilliant four-wheeled “cheetah” powered by a 523bhp engine that delivers 516lb ft of torque.
You might think that Porsche can only do 911 Turbo, which is quite true, but there are few gold bugs that can afford and are willing to buy these speed-lust babies. They are the reason for which 911 Turbo revives periodically.
The extra power comes from the regular 911 Turbo’s pair of variable geometry turbos, cranked up to 11. The Turbo S is available only with the seven-speed PDK twin-clutch box and 19in RS Spyder wheels. Figures go like this: 0-62mph in an breath-taking 3.3 seconds, 124mph in just 10.8sec and top speed of 196mph.
If all these have taken your breath away, you should have a sit, cause you haven’t heard the price yet. 911 Turbo S lands in May 2010 and will cost £123,263 for the coupé and £130,791 for the Cabriolet.
Money can’t buy happiness, but it can surely buy horse-power!
