Yes, you read well! It’s not like in the case of the young Kazakh who built himself a Rolls Royce out an old Mertz. This guy here transformed a gorgeous Lamborghini into a ‘Stang. Not that this Mustang is not gorgeous, especially after all the work he’s done with it, but many don’t get the point. If he had built a Mustang out of a tiny Smart for 2, things would have been clear. Would they?!

It took him one Mustang shell, one Mustang parts car, one Lamborghini Gallardo parts car, and uncounted hours of labor to build the muscle car, including the transmission and the all-wheel-drive system. And I have to admit that he’s got skills!

I am a VERY big fan of Mustangs and honestly I would take one for the Lamborghini, so I kinda understand this guy, or maybe he just wanted to show off his talent. And if I were to be mean…usually you transform an old rusty car into a shiny home-made piece of jewelery. Touche, Lamborghini!

Lamborghini has never had anything in common with SUVs, not yet anyway, but that hasn’t stopped Belgian designer David Cardoso from imagining what a Lamborghini SUV would look like.

He came up with the Conquisto, a futuristic concept that combines the aesthetic look of Lamborghini with the bulky traits of an SUV. It’s a two-door, rear-engine vehicle, but these details don’t really matter since it will most likely remain just a very original concept.

I personally find the Lamborghini Conquisto very unnatural, but that’s probably just because I can’t imagine Lamborghini as an SUV. The Porsche Cayenne has been on the market a while now, but although most find it irresistible, I just think it’s weird looking.

Manufacturer has sent Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 SuperVeloce to the gym. The result? An expected less-weight-more-power car, that is almost 570 HP and an (un)impressive 3,300 Lbs. The current Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 can hit 60 MPH in just 3.7 seconds, costs $198,000 and makes 553 HP and 398 Lb-Ft of torque. The LP570 is due to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.  The “-4″ indicates AWP, which stands for Aerial Work Platform, a mechanical device used to effect temporary access for people or equipment to inaccessible areas, usually at height.

How do people feel about this? Most of them are getting bored of all supercars manufacturers, saying they build cars they can’t afford.

Is price really that important when it comes to a 600hp Lamborghini beast?

Lamborghini is working on a new version of Gallardo,the LP560-4.The new Gallardo has a 5.2-liter V-10 gasoline engine,making 552 hp at 8000 rpm.(aprox.40 hp over the previous version).Also the car has an improved powertrain,a new suspension system and because the aerodynamics package has been improved,the car will be more stabile at high-speed.

The new Gallardo LP560-4 goes from 0-100 km/h (60mph) in 3.7 seconds and it can reach a top-speed of 323 km/h (201 mph).
The standard package includes electric rear spoiler,stability control and 19-inch wheels.

Designed by Italian coachbuilder Magvisio, the Ferruccio was a rebodied Murcielago LP640 and would have been faster than any current car wearing the Lamborghini badge, with a claimed top speed of 230mph. Although not an official Lamborghini project, Sant’Agata was monitoring the scheme ‘with interest’, according to its creators.

On the outside the Ferruccio takes design cues from Lambos of the past, with rear haunches from the Countach and ‘eyelash’ light clusters from the Miura. And under that dramatic bodywork, it is based on the LP640, borrowing its 6.5-litre V12 and four-wheel drive system.

That means 630bhp and 660lb ft of torque with performance figures to match. Magvisio claims a 0-60mph time of 3.0sec dead, with 100mph dispatched in a smidgeon under six.

Dinner plate 330mm ceramic discs with six-pot callipers keep the Ferruccio on the straight and narrow. The body and chassis are made from lightweight carbon-fibre composites to keep weight down. The cabin is sprinkled with lightweight materials too – the seats are carbon, the dash is carbon and the doors are carbon. And you wonder why this car would have been so expensive…

Originally just ten examples of the Ferruccio were planned: five hard-tops and five spyders, with prices starting at an eye-watering $1.5 million. That’s £750,000. And it doesn’t include VAT… Pule admits that the high price probably limited the number of orders.

‘The price has been a deterrent for customers,’ he told us. ‘We are in talks with prototyping firm Protoscar, which might bring the cost down substantially.’ It seems like the project might not be over quite yet, then.

Ferruccio on ice

Magvisio hasn’t shown the Ferruccio publicly, but is deadly serious about turning this computer rendering into a real car, bosses claim.

Customers were meant to be taking delivery of their Ferruccios in September 2008, but until more deposits are on the table, this Lambo remains firmly in limbo.
