
British sports car manufacturer, Arash, has announced it is working on another revolutionary vehicle called the AF-8, after it had previously presented the AF-10.
The AF-8 is designed as competition for supercars like Lamborghini Gallardo and Ferrari F430. Arash is equipping the AF-8 with the same, supercharged, 7.0-litre V8 as the Chevrolet Corvette’s Z06, which should help it go from 0 to 60mph in 3.4 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 206mph.
Unlike the AF-10, the AF-8 doesn’t have the same butterfly, racing doors, but it does have the company’s signature rear-facing side ducts to provide cooling for the front carbon ceramic brake disks, a roof mounted air intake and an active back wing to ensure the rear downforce matches the front.
The price for the AF-8 is set around $350 000 but it’s expected to grow after its bigger sister, the AF-10 is released this fall. Continue reading »
